What is a thin section bearing?

Thin section bearings refer to bearings whose inner diameter to outer diameter ratio is less than the specified value. Thin walled ball bearings are those with a ratio of less than 1.25 between the outer diameter and inner diameter of the bearing. This means that the outer diameter of the bearing is very small compared to the inner diameter, and the bearing wall is very thin, so it is called a thin-walled ball bearing. Thin section bearings require high accuracy, as the walls are very thin, their load-bearing capacity is also low and their impact resistance is poor. It is necessary to choose according to the usage environment!! Thin walled ball bearings have a simple structure and are convenient to use. Mainly used to withstand radial loads, but when the radial clearance of the bearing increases, it has certain performance as an angular contact ball bearing and can withstand combined radial and axial loads. When the rotational speed is high and the thrust ball bearing is not suitable, it can also be used to withstand pure axial loads. Compared with other types of bearings of the same size, this type of bearing has a smaller friction coefficient and higher rotational speed. But it is not resistant to impact and is not suitable for bearing heavy loads. Widely used in aircraft, aerospace, astronomical instruments and clamping equipment, food processing equipment, Glass production equipment and turntable, machine tools, packaging equipment, medical equipment, optical scanning equipment, radar, satellite communication equipment, textile machinery, robots, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and other industries
